John Ioannidis is a Professor of medicine, epidemiology and population health. He discusses the expertise needed to manage a pandemic, including the limitations of computer modelling vs the unpredictable behaviour of infections, as well as the prevalence and mortality rates of COVID-19. He identifies people who are most likely to be vulnerable and explores possible treatments.
